This print of the Segovia acquaduct is great. Too bad it's not a bigger jpeg. I read somewhere that in the middle ages no one could figure out how to dismantle the biggest Roman works. When they asked the church how the Romans could have possibly built such things, and lacking an answer, the clerics said "the Romans didn't build them. Satan did."

I doubt that. They remembered the Romans too well, and learned architecture from them.
